Jeppesen Marine's unique Quick Sync updating technology allows navigators to check the status of their electronic MAX Pro charts and supplementary data. The instructions below allow you to updated your MAX Pro charts automatically or via email in Nobeltec Navigation Software* systems, specifically Admiral MAX Pro and VNS MAX Pro. Updates can then be quickly downloaded and automatically applied at the convenience of the navigator. These updates are available as soon as the Notice to Mariner (NTM) is released and can be downloaded during the chart subscription period.

Updating MAX Pro Charts Automatically:

1. Open the MAX Pro Chart Manager.
2. Click Data Manager. The Data Manager will list regions for which you have purchased a Region Permit.
3. Click Manage Data Updates. A table will display containing all of the Region Permits you own.
4. If you have an Internet connection, select Check for Updates, select the regions you wish to receive updates for, then click Next. The Quick Sync service will transfer all available Notice to Mariner (NTM) advisories issued by official maritime agencies since your last update. A Download log will display, showing the progress of your Quick Sync update.
5. When all of your charts and data are updated, click Close and then Exit to close MAX Pro Chart Manager.

Updating MAX Pro Charts and Data via Email:

1. Open the MAX Pro Chart Manager.
2. Click the Data Manager button.
3. Select the region that you want to update by placing a check next to that region.
4. Click Manage Updates.
5. When that screen opens, select the Generate Update Request File option, and click Next.
6. Files will now be created on your hard disk that need to be emailed to the following e-mail address: MAX-PRO-RTU@c-map.it
7. Copy those files that were created on your hard disk to some form of removable media (i.e., 'thumb drive or memory stick').
8. Take those files to a computer that is running an email client and has access to the Internet.The MAX Pro Quick Sync email process may take a few minutes to generate your database updates. Please be patient and allow the system at least 15 minutes to deliver your update files.
   After approximately 15 minutes, you will receive your Update Files via return email.
9. Copy the Update Files from your email to your navigation computer and;
10. Access the MAX Pro Chart Manager - Data Manager.
11. Select the region that you want to update by placing a check next to that region.
12. Select the Manage Updates button.
13. Select the Load Updates From File option.
14. When prompted, browse to the Update Files that you copied to your navigation computer.
15. Your MAX Pro charts database is now completely updated.

*Please Note:the instructions listed above are specifically for Nobeltec Admiral MAX Pro and VNS MAX Pro that contain a customized version of the MAX Pro Chart Manager.
