The Jeppesen Integration Toolkit (JIT) and Jeppesen Data Server (JDS) solutions enable our OEM partners to introduce products and applications to the market in an efficient and timely manner.  These applications, by design, empower our end customers to transition from paper to electronic through the use of certified cockpit applications.

The benefit to the OEM is a significant reduction in costs due to certification and development work done up front by Jeppesen, and a competitive advantage due to reduced time to market and ease of implementation.  The JIT is a "kit of parts", whereby the individual components can function in many environments.  These environments are frequently DO-178B certified and include desktop applications, airborne systems, airline operations, and aircraft simulators and instructor workstations.

The JDS will serve as the primary gateway or access point to all of the data types provided by Jeppesen, and it will serve up the applicable data to each application developed from the JIT modules.  In addition to increased data search performance and reduced hardware memory requirements, JDS offers protection against corrupted data due to security and consistency checks among all data types.
