Dominican Republic AIP AMDT AIRAC 4-08, effective 18 December 2008, re-commissioned Runway 17-35 and revised all SID, STAR and Approach procedures at Las Americas Intl; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (MDSD). Previously, runway 17-35 had been closed and the parallel taxiway had been designated as runway 17L-35R. Temporary procedures had been issued that aligned all SID, STAR and Approach procedures to this temporary runway.
The closure of runway 17-35 and the use of the corresponding temporary SID, STAR and Approach procedures had been anticipated to last until 3 June 2009. However, AIP AMDT AIRAC 4-08, effective 18 December 2008, reinstated runway 17-35 in its original location and designated the parallel taxiway, formerly runway 17L-35R, as taxiway ”J.”
All SID, STAR and Approach procedures were also modified with this AIRAC Amendment, so the original procedures that pre-dated the temporary procedures are not usable.
